PEG is a non-profit organization started by David LaMotte after he and Deanna spent a "learning vacation" (actually, their honeymoon) in Guatemala. While there, they saw how a little money directed to the right places can have a big impact.
From the PEG website: "All donations to PEG (other than those specifically designated by the donor for administration) go directly to our projects."
Completed projects have included the purchase of school supplies for grades 1 through 6, financing a preschool building to allow nearly sixty children to attend (scroll down to see photos of the David LaMotte Pre School), instead of the fourteen children who could attend in their previous location and purchase four new computers for a computer lab for an elementary school.

These photos are all displayed courtesy of the photographer, AB Short. Thank you, Mr. Short!
Mr. Short shared the following e-mail (reprinted with his permission):
I was recently in Santiago Guatemala staying at the Posada owned by David and Susie Glanville. One of the employees, Beninno Tecun Perez asked if I would be interested in visiting a small school he had helped found. I did so and notice it was named for David Lamotte. Sorry to say I did not know of David, but upon returning to Decatur Georgia and sharing some slides of the school I learned that David had played numerous times at Eddie’s Attic. Anyway, if you wish, share this email with David and once again I am reminding to a couple of things, it is a small world and I do believe most people want to do good and David is one of those. abs
Please follow this link to see the work that brought Mr. Short to Guatemala. He is also a person who wants to (and does) do good.
David responds in part:
WOOW!!!!! Those are the first pix I've seen of it. Incredible!! Thanks so much.
